HANDWOVEN BY THE "KARIGARS" OF UTTAR PRADESH, INDIA
We’re swooning over the laid-back-luxe vibe of the Taara Lamp. Featuring an airy meshwork of cotton threads in a delicate sand and ivory palette, it doubles as a piece of art. Style it as an entryway statement or a gorgeous kitchen-island pendant.
Traditionally weaving only cane, the artisans have adapted themselves to using contemporary natural materials in distinctly modern forms to preserve their traditional weaving technique. Every loop and knot brings to light the patience and planning that goes into this involved craft. Each lamp takes 4 days to weave. Made from scratch in a fair-trade co-operative in Uttar Pradesh, India.
